A little about my blogging journey so far and blogging plans for the future!ย

Where to next?

There are many inspirational stories on the internet about successful bloggers quitting their soul killing day jobs to blog full time. My blogging story is not such an inspirational one. I didn’t quit my job to blog because I had no job and that’s why I started to blog.

Irrespective of the trifling reason to begin blogging, blogging has definitely changed my thoughts, words, actions and even life.

Starting at the beginning

Blogging journey and blogging plans
What am I doing – IDK!

When I started blogging I had no clue what it takes to create a blog and no idea what one could receive out of a blog. Creating this blog was a ‘spur of the moment’ thing without any prior thinking through. Today I thank God that I didn’t think before I started to blog. Because if I had thought about it, I would never sum up the courage to share my thoughts through the blog and I would have missed out on one of the best adventures of my life.

Blogging journey and blogging plans
Thank you insomnia for all my creativity!

I started this blog on January this year during a sleepless night. The name of the blog came naturally to me as that is who I was- educated, unemployed and an Indian. I published my first post and a few kind people stopped by and left some encouraging words behind. Those words fueled my motivation to further work on the blog. I spent a few more sleepless nights customizing and designing the blog. Today I feel very fortunate and grateful to have come this far and for the amazing community I am part of through this blog.

ย What is yet to come

Blogging journey and blogging plans
The plan is to make more plans!

Some of you might be wondering what happened to me, why have I become irregular or what my plans are for this blog. I have been wondering the same for some time. I have also been sick for a short while which gave me ample time to think and overthink. After much thinking and a lot of procrastinating I have decided to take this blog to the next level. I am going to shift to a paid plan. With still a bit of hesitation and a lot of doubts (to overcome) I am going to invest a little bit of money and a lot of time blogging this year. I want to take a chance and listen to my heart this once. I am going to bring a lot of interesting and hopefully helpful content in the coming days. I truly hope to get the same love and support that I have been getting so far.

Conclusion-

Blogging journey and blogging plans
I’ll try!

Blogging is a creative way to express thoughts and opinions, to share those thoughts, to connect with like minded people and to find support in a community that transcends borders. I feel exceptionally lucky to be part of such a wonderful community. I hope I can and I really want to be responsible, sensible and compassionate in creating blog posts that adds value and meaning to life. I can try, I might fail but still I can try.

‘To try’ is my where to next!ย

Thank you for reading the post till the end!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Please share your thoughts on the post.

Also, if you have any suggestions or advice on blogging – do share the same with me. I shall ever be so grateful for your kindness.

    1. Thank you so much. This has actually just happened & You are the first person to congratulate me on achieving this new milestone of 1000 followers, thank you once again! It is all because of you and so many other kind souls like you that I have been able to come this far. In the coming months, I’ll write a post about what I have learned about gaining followers and probably about blogging as well. I hope it will be of some benefit to you.

  2. I agree that blogging helps us create and share our thoughts, some readily accepted and some not as much. I began to blog in 2015 and was very infrequent due to work and other distractions . I can now devote more time and my goal is to post two per week. I work toward being consistent and reading/engaging in other blogs as well. The following is slowly developing. I try to balance posts between my travels, travel safety and life influences. I wonder if these draw as much interest though. It’s great to hear you are continuing to write. Looking forward to your posts.

    1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The topics for your blog related to travel sounds wonderful, I am sure they will draw a lot of interest among most people. These days most people are enthusiastic about travel, including me. I wish I could travel more, hopefully that will happen sometime in future.

  3. First of all, congrats on your beautiful blog. I love its freshness, honesty and optimistic message to all bloggers in the realm of wordpress.com. I also like the part where you explain how you came to blogging, how a negative thing as insomnia has had its positive side: CREATIVITY. Yea! Well, actually you have been/ are acting in life instead of being a simple spectator of negativity given the insomnia problem. Instead, you have taken a most wise step. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I really appreciate this.

  4. I can echo what you have said. I started blogging on an impulse and it has been a truly rewarding experience.
I can’t offer any experienced advice because I only started blogging in March, but I would say, keep doing what you’re doing, because it is good.
    All the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Binita, whatever the reason may be for getting this blog up and running, you are doing such an awesome job here. Your writing talent is obvious here on the blog and of course you have your own individual style of putting words across, which I really love. Keep up the excellent work you do.
And btw, I think you are following my WordPress blog(which I have stopped updating since long) You can follow me on http://www.theextraaamile.com, I blog from there now. The WordPress one is kind of dormant ๐Ÿ™‚
P.S : I’m in love with your blog here โค

    1. Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate it. I’m trying to learn about the art of blogging and then implementing whatever little I’m able to in the blog. It’s a lot of trial & error but also fun & excitement.
I wish you all the luck in your future endeavors as well ๐Ÿ€

  7. I love your honesty and humble evaluation of how you started this blog and how you appreciate your readers. This is the first (of hopefully many) visits and you have made me feel welcome. Everyone has a personality and I always believe that as a reader, if you can grasp even an ounce of the persona of the writer and then also just be able to follow along with the ride, itโ€™s a great start ๐Ÿ‘ I started my blog a while ago but I guess you have given me renewed hope that maybe Iโ€™m just overthinking it and instead of that, I should just be free and let the words flow. Iโ€™m really glad I stopped by.

    1. Trust me when I say, I’m more glad than you’re that you stopped by this blog. Why? Because your kind words have touched me. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the blog.
My good wishes to you for your blog. Write from your heart & enjoy every step of the process. Don’t forget to take a break when & if it feels like work. Good luck ๐Ÿ€
